Detroit's Wayne Kramer: He always meant business.

The MC5 truly believed in the power of rock & roll to change the world.

--Rolling Stone magazine

For all you Detroit-area boomers and ex-hippies now living in Grosse Pointe Shores, below is the MC5's Wayne Kramer dancing around on the stage with his guitar in July 1970 at Tartar Field. Note that Patti Smith's husband, Fred "Sonic" Smith, now deceased, is the non-dancing guitarist in dark cowboy shirt. If you were born after 1970, don't bother with any of this. Too intense, passionate and fun.
