Killer Dana

The Wave: It was Gnarly. It came out of deep water and broke close to the rocks that lined the beach. Hardcore Orange County surfers--some of them world-class and famous--were not happy in 1966 when the Army Corps of Engineers killed Killer Dana by making a recreational harbor at Dana Point.
