The Press as Satan.

"Yonder sits the Fourth Estate, and they are more important than them all."

--Edmund Burke, looking up at the Press Gallery of the House of Commons.

We support The Press. But if the performance of the stock markets, and much of the economy generally, is psychological, do scary slice-of-life stories like this one by much-followed MSNBC even need to be covered? See "Hard times have some flirting with survivalism; economic angst has Americans stockpiling 'beans, bullets and Band-Aids’".
