Overheard in Brentwood

On San Vicente Boulevard, under the Coral Trees, where all of Los Angeles runs to stay in shape, two middle aged entrepreneurs confer during their jog. David: "Jack, our problem? Our problem is that you never listen to anyone about anything ever. Try it some time, okay?" Jack: "I have. I did. Tried that. And everything got all f_cked up."

That sounds like a lost line from a David Mammet play.

All I can offer in return: sitting behind two people at the ballet, one turns to the other and says, loudly, "This PLAY doesn't have very much TALKING!"
