My new article on natural gas fracking was published yesterday--in Vox Populi.

My latest article environmental law focuses on the continuing public dispute over the safety of hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking", to extract previously inaccessible reserves of natural gas from attempt pt underneath both public and private lands. The article, in which I try to pin down what proponents and opponents really view their arguments and what they really want in the fracking controversy. It was published yesterday in Vox Populi, a new but acclaimed and fast-growing online forum "for the discussion of contemporary politics". Vox Populi was co-founded by Michael Simms, a nationally known publisher, editor and writer, and by Nisha Gupta, the forum's first editor and a Ph.d candidate in Clinical Psychology at Duquesne University. The forum's name comes from a proverb in Latin Vox populi, vox De, meaning "The voice of the people [is] the voice of God." VP's philosophy: "We believe that the only way for society to change is for people’s voices to be heard. The subject of this dialogue is power--who has it, how is it used, and to what purpose. We welcome your participation."

My article on fracking can be accessed at Vox Populi or at this link.
