Cherry Blossoms: 106 years. 3000 trees.
Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki and his wife in Washington on March 27, 1912. On that day, the couple presented the City of Washington with 3000 Japanese cherry trees.
As of today, peak bloom in 2018 is expected April 8 to 12.
