Yesterday in Charlotte, N.C. was Early Winter.

Speaking of being a kid. Growing up in hardscrabble Indian Hill, Ohio--an uneasy and volcanic ethnic mix of WASPS, large dogs and quarter horses--I remember that on the first cold and snowy evening of the year, after dessert was served, and before we'd decant the port, WAC? and his family used to sing this song around the dinner table. "The second mother was with the seventh son/And they were both out on Highway 61".

I realize you work for US Airways and are always in a bad mood--but can you turn up the temperature before we land in Charlotte, please?

That voice sounds like he’s had a few decades of too much smoke and whiskey. He’s giving Keith Richards a run for his money there.
